Today we welcomed Ally along to our Happy Mondays group. Ally from Ian Johnston Funeral Directors is taking part in Kirkcaldy Half Marathon, and has been looking for a local charity he could choose to raise funds for. We are absolutely thrilled that he chose Nourish. We wish Ally Lots of luck with his training and look forward to cheering him on. The link is below to help Ally raise funds for Nourish.
Huge well done to some our volunteers who have completed food hygiene, first aid at work, and mental health first aid for young people.
The summer holidays are fast approaching, and we're busy getting ready for our summer timetable. Over the summer holidays, Happy Mondays will run as normal every Monday, but our Family Drop In and Family Support Groups have now finished and will return in August. Starting in July we will be running our Family Holiday Clubs. These will be running Wednesdays and Thursdays. Details will be posted in the next few days, so keep an eye on our website and Facebook page.
We’ve had another busy few weeks at Nourish with support groups, fun days, fundraising and more. Today 5 of our volunteers completed a First Aid at work level 6 course. Look out for our spring newsletter coming out soon.
As our groups grow and expand so does the need for more volunteers. If you are looking to gain experience and have a few hours to spare please contact Lynne Scott by email
We have been granted funding from the National Lottery, this means from May our Family drop in sessions and Family support groups running on Wednesdays and Thursdays will now be completely free as will all activities provided at these groups. We will also be able to provide entertainment once per month for our Family fun days and at our Happy Mondays groups. On top of all that we will also be purchasing new sensory equipment and new office equipment.
Thanks to #NationalLottery players for making our project possible. We’re making a huge difference to the lives of our members thanks to #NationalLottery funding.
